New Head Coach!

We want to welcome Coach Suavey Turner to the Spartans family! Coach Turner just moved to Connecticut from Indianapolis, Indiana, where he played three years of varsity basketball at Indianapolis Metropolitan HS and one year at JJC (Joliet Junior College) in Joliet, Illinois, before finishing his career at Kentucky St. University. 

Coach Turner began his coaching career with the Indiana Elite Jazz, with whom he went 24-10 and won 3 tournaments. He has coached nationally ranked players in the MHSTV camp in 2016. He also coached EG10 Silver (Eric Gordon All Stars), who played in the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit, to a 34-8 record. Seven of the ten players he had on that team were being recruited to play college ball, and 3 of them, including the number one shooting guard in the class of 2018, were getting looks at the D-1 level. 

Coach Turner recently married his wife, Tiffanie, and they have a dog named Maverick. 

Coach Turner will be coaching a 16U CT Spartans Elite boys basketball team. They will play in elite and college exposure tournaments.
